From 2014-2015 I went through an amazing transformation from a pink haired party girl to crunchy mama.
For years I suffered with acne, bi-polar, depression, terrible bloating and gas after eating. I started having disordered eating at the age of 12 and battled on and off with bulimia for the next 13 years. I started smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana and taking a daily prescription of adderall at the age of 15. I attempted suicide 3 times by age 20 and found myself in rehab for alcohol shortly after my 20th birthday. I was co-dependent on whichever guy was in my life and if there was no one, I was searching for one. I was diagnosed with low thyroid at age 21 and told by my doctor that I would be on medicine for the rest of my life. At age 23, I was getting drunk 4-5 days a week, smoking a pack a day, constantly sick with a runny nose, cough or sore throat, and had very little love for myself. I also needed 5 prescription pills to function, my upper (adderall, basically legal coke), a mood stabilizer, my thyroid pill, an antibiotic for acne and a sleeping pill at night.
Towards the end of my 23rd year my body started to really fall apart. I was getting bladder infections weekly and my digestion system seemed to be failing me. It was painful to eat or drink, even a sip of water or one bite of banana had me in tears. I kept going to the doctors for help and all they did was give me more meds that made me nauseous. I found myself dry heaving into the toilet, falling unconscious, hitting my head on the toilet and waking up on the floor. That was a scary moment for me and I decided to take things into my own hands.
The more research I did, the more I changed my diet and lifestyle. In a matter of a month I went off all my meds, quit wearing makeup, started eating less packaged food and more fresh fruits and veggies, switched to a plant based diet and quit smoking. It was a HUGE change for me and my quality of life increased drastically.
I found the raw food lifestyle a few months before I conceived Axel. I had convinced myself that I was infertile only to get pregnant in the first two weeks I went 100% raw. I healed even more eating raw, a few warts disappeared, I lost weight easily, my mood stabilized, my acne went away and I had an abundance of energy, The last few years I have gone back and forth from 100% raw to mostly raw, to mostly cooked and currently I am finding a balance between half raw and half cooked. I love eating raw, feel my best, energy wise, eating raw and I think its a great way to eat for healing. I have learned my quality of life is best when I have no restrictions on my diet, especially because of my history with eating disorders. I am currently working on finding balance with my eating and working on fully healing from my long battle with bulimia. I make no food "off limits" because that makes me want it even more! Our bodies are pretty resilient, I figure if I eat healthy at least 70% of the time, my body will take care of the rest!
Currently I am blessed to be a crunchy mama to a wild 2 year old little man, Axel Ray. I had an amazing home water birth that lasted 36 hours. I am on zero medications, my moods are stable, my thyroid is normal and last blood check, all my levels were great! My hobbies include recreating old favorite comfort foods into healthier versions, making YouTube videos, writing songs and making my kiddo giggle.
I am so thankful I started asking questions and took my health into my own hands.

Affirmation Journal (e-version)
The idea for this affirmation journal came to me when I started building myself back up after a mental breakdown in early 2017. I took a composition notebook and wrote a positive affirmation on each page. Every day I would spend about 10-20 minutes, pick a few affirmations and write them over and over again. This method really helped me change my mental patterns to create a healthier and happier me.
In this journal, I provide my favorite affirmations with lines for you to write them over and over. There are 4 different categories: Love & Relationships, Career & Financial Success, Optimum Health & Happiness and Peace, Balance & Moving Forward. There is a section where I teach you how to make your own affirmations (DIY Affirmations) and I also teach you two other affirmation techniques that personally help me with pages to utilize them as well.
I made this e-version all black and white so you could easily print at home. There are 8 mandalas throughout the book that were intentionally left black and white so you can color them in!
